[Bug 786145] New: bluetooth: Trying to send a file gives "org.bluez.Error.Canceled, Authorization canceled"
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=786145 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=786145#c0 Summary: bluetooth: Trying to send a file gives "org.bluez.Error.Canceled, Authorization canceled" Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: doerges@pre-sense.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0 On openSUSE 12.1 everything worked fine. After upgrading to openSUSE 12.2 (zypper dup), I can't send files from the computer (source) to a phone (target) anymore. When trying to send a file using the KDE system try icon ("send file") nothing happens (no message on the target nor on the source). In /var/log/messages I get the following lines: --- snip --- Oct 22 14:12:41 box bluetoothd[1300]: Discovery session 0x7f345c290eb0 with :1.762 activated Oct 22 14:13:41 box bluetoothd[1300]: Stopping discovery Oct 22 14:13:41 box bluetoothd[1300]: Mode session 0x7f345c282290 with :1.88 activated Oct 22 14:13:41 box bluetoothd[1300]: Agent replied with an error: org.bluez.Error.Canceled, Authorization canceled Oct 22 14:13:41 box obex-client[10300]: manager replied with an error: org.bluez.Error.Canceled, Authorization canceled Oct 22 14:13:41 box obex-client[10300]: Unable to request session Oct 22 14:13:41 box dbus[987]: [system] Rejected send message, 2 matched rules; type="error", sender=":1.13" (uid=0 pid=1295 comm="/usr/sbin/bluetoothd --udev ") interface="(unset)" member="(unset)" error name="org.bluez.Error.Failed" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.88" (uid=1000 pid=10300 comm="/usr/lib64/obex/obex-client ") Oct 22 14:13:41 box dbus[987]: [system] Rejected send message, 3 matched rules; type="method_return", sender=":1.19" (uid=1000 pid=2582 comm="kdeinit4: kded4 [kdeinit] ") interface="(unset)" member="(unset)" error name="(unset)" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.13" (uid=0 pid=1295 comm="/usr/sbin/bluetoothd --udev ") Oct 22 14:13:41 box dbus-daemon[987]: dbus[987]: [system] Rejected send message, 2 matched rules; type="error", sender=":1.13" (uid=0 pid=1295 comm="/usr/sbin/bluetoothd --udev ") interface="(unset)" member="(unset)" error name="org.bluez.Error.Failed" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.88" (uid=1000 pid=10300 comm="/usr/lib64/obex/obex-client ") Oct 22 14:13:41 box dbus-daemon[987]: dbus[987]: [system] Rejected send message, 3 matched rules; type="method_return", sender=":1.19" (uid=1000 pid=2582 comm="kdeinit4: kded4 [kdeinit] ") interface="(unset)" member="(unset)" error name="(unset)" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.13" (uid=0 pid=1295 comm="/usr/sbin/bluetoothd --udev ") --- snap --- Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right-click on bluetooth icon in KDE panel systray 2. Chose send files 3. Chose target device and file Actual Results: Nothing happens except for the entry in /v/l/m (see above). Expected Results: The file should be sent to the target. Like said above. I worked beautifully with openSUSE 12.1. I'm not sure what more information you'd need, so I'm guessing a bit. I'm happy to provide you with more information if needed.
