[Bug 216076] New: Wrong helpfile path provided to gnome-help
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216076 Summary: Wrong helpfile path provided to gnome-help Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dg001@t-online.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Currently the Gnome help system is broken for some applications. When you press F1 in Nautilus, then yelp only shows an error message, because the URI is not valid. The URI provided is: help:///opt/gnome/share/gnome/help/user-guide/C/user-guide.xml?gosnautilus-1 which seems to be wrong. Yelp shows the correct helpfile, when you enter: yelp file:///opt/gnome/share/gnome/help/user-guide/C/user-guide.xml?gosnautilus-1 So either yelp should understand the URI with the "help" keyword or the URI is sent with the "file" keyword. I'm not sure how many Gnome applications are affected by this problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

I don't think we'll fix this for 10.1 (a new susehelp package should do the trick for you). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
