[Bug 285098] New: Mount broken, couldn't login as user
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=285098 Summary: Mount broken, couldn't login as user Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 5 Platform: i586 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: yxu@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I am using SUSE Linux 10.1 on my workstation, and this morning I did an update for all packages to openSUSE 10.3 Alpha 5. Then I couldn't log in. The message shows "...couldn't find kstartuokonfig..." If I login as root, I am not able to go to my home. I tried: mount -t nfs loki:/real-home/yxu /suse/yxu but it didn't work, error was "Invalid argument", and mount dist:/dist also didn't work either. I think mount is behaving strange. So in the end I downgraded mount, by downgrading the package util-linux.rpm to the one used in openSUSE 10.2, and then I could log in. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
