User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 After installing TeXlive and all of the package I think might be relevant I try to start asy by typing asy at a prompt in a konsole. The program tries to start but gives a number of TeX errors are immediately exists. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a konsole. 2. Type asy <CR> 3. Actual Results: This is what I get. It works for TeXlive in OpenSUSE 12.2. Compiling Asymptote from source doesn't work either. ... the problem was that upstream TeXLive had the versions of the asymptote binaries not in sysn with the version of the helper files of the asymptote package at release date of TeXLive 2012. You may test out the packages below http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Publishing:/TeXLive/openSUSE_12.3/... in in the next few days.
