The message says that fsck failed for at least one filesystem (not /) But it also says no messagelogging because /var is not accessible . I have no separate /var Partition this is included in the root Partition. Some information to the system you find below. On the same system i had an upgrade error (harddriverenaming)from 10.3 to 11.0 which is Bug #392086 but it is said that the problem would not be related. This is a clean install from 11.0 Systeminformation: CPU: AMD 64X2 Dual Core 4200+ RAM: 1GB Harddrives: 3 IDE 20GB SATA 200GB SATA: 200GB config files: device.map (fd0) /dev/fd0 (hd2) /dev/sda (hd1) /dev/sdc (hd0) /dev/sdb menu.lst # Modified by YaST2.
