[Bug 1001431] New: [TW] [REGRESSION] Latest 20160924 update breaks Cinnamon desktop re-paint
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1001431 Bug ID: 1001431 Summary: [TW] [REGRESSION] Latest 20160924 update breaks Cinnamon desktop re-paint Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: sb56637@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hello, there is a really bad regression in the Cinnamon desktop with the 20160924 update of Tumbleweed. I depend on the workflow of saving in-progress documents and downloads to my ~/Desktop and then working on them from there. Now, this update has completely broken the desktop icon functionality, since re-painting the Desktop (rendered with Nemo) appears to be broken. When a desktop icon is selected, the selected color remains after clicking other icons. The drag-select rectangle color also remains on the screen. I am attaching a screenshot. The Nemo file manager in a separate window still works correctly. I have tried with the default Adwaita GTK theme and with all of the other GTK themes I have installed, and they all respond the same. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Could this get fast-tracked into openSUSE Tumbleweed, possibly via the updates repo? I'm not sure how to perform that. Plug X11:Cinnamon:Current and you'll be fine :-).
