https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=774253 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=774253#c0 Summary: Go language - go clean fails to remove all binary artifacts Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: RC 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Development AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: graham@andtech.eu QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/22.0.1190.0 Safari/537.1 SUSE/22.0.1190.0 Due to the current patch that enables us to install, package and work with binary only Go libraries the 'go clean' functionallity of the toolchain sometimes does not work as expected. If a user installs a Go package via "go get" or "go install" and then manually deletes the package source dir from the Go env, the "go clean -i" command will fail to remove binary artifiacts from the "go install" locations. See https://code.google.com/p/go/issues/detail?id=3268 Work arounds are: 1. Install the package from OBS instead 2. Manually delete the binary artifacts from $GOPATH/pkg/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Manually delete package source from $GOPATH/src/$IMPORT_PATH 2. go clean -i $IMPORT_PATH This is slated to be addresses for Go 1.1 later this year. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
