It *does* add the seconds to the text display if the text display checkbox is selected (“Die Zeit auch als Text anzeigen”). I.e. this “show seconds” checkbox behaves as if it is a sub-item of the check box “show time as text”. But the current user interface doesn’t suggest that, it makes me expect to see another hand for the seconds in the analog clock.
