[Bug 447812] New: NFS share cannot be mounted as a user at the first time
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=447812 Summary: NFS share cannot be mounted as a user at the first time Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta 5 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mgyhardsoft@freestart.hu QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- The symptom is that when I try to mount some NFS shares as an ordinary user (as I am), I get the following message: mount.nfs: rpc.statd is not running but is required for remote locking. mount.nfs: Either use '-o nolock' to keep locks local, or start statd. (I tested chkconfig rpcbind and it tells rpcbind on.) Then I mount the share with sudo, umount it (with sudo), and from that point it can also be mounted as that ordinary user. BTW, I can immediately mount that share as a user with the very same configuration in openSUSE 11.0. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
