With respect to RFC 4329, http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/ and http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/text/, please add the MIME type for ECMAScript, and change the JavaScript MIME type from "application/x-javascript" to "application/javascript". application/ecmascript es application/javascript js See also the appropriate Apache bugs http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=40299 and http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35551 Most browser vendors (except Microsoft) have made their homework relating this issue. The Server and OS vendors shouldn't be far behind.
