I have no idea whether it is one of the things that set up the failure or not. My openSUSE 11.1 x86-64 Gnome desktop machine had a network failure that over 2kB (2*10^6) sized packets will be lost over my Jumbo Frame LAN. As a result, NFS session times out and my box never shutdown normally. One day it was exhibited and I think some security patch caused. After investigation, I could find no trace on general logs including dmesg. Therefore, I have quick fixed it by changing MTU to 1492, a few days ago. It has seemed resolved but applications frozen again while accessing files on NFS today. I have saved logs and pushed reset button at the time. Afterward, I have found the message on dmesg log. I have never seen this message. I think this has no relation with my trouble but I am not able to judge whether it does or not. # uname -a Linux linux-am2 2.6.27.29-0.1-default #1 SMP 2009-08-15 17:53:59 +0200 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

2kB (2*10^3) sized packets will be lost over my Jumbo Frame LAN. As a result,
Reinstalling openSUSE 11.1 fixes the network failure until updating system. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to identify the patch. I hope my report helps openSUSE team. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
