The API of the new v8 deviates too much and we're not involved enough upstream to justify a deviation here. So that means that the package no longer requires v8 or v8-devel to be build as that the v8 source is being delivered inside the source. So the nodejs built-in v8 needs to be rebuilt wrt the openSUSE-2013-1025 security update. Marcus, The package nodejs need to be compiled against the updated libv8. This would resolve the unknown symbol issue. The issue should only occur for openSUSE 12.3 as that nodejs there is being build against libv8. This seemed to
