[Bug 227677] New: USB-kb & mouse stop working after boot
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227677 Summary: USB-kb & mouse stop working after boot Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kylmakorpi@kolumbus.fi QAContact: qa@suse.de I reported this as a basesystem error although I'm not sure about the nature and basis of the bug. Anyway, Logitech S510 coordless USB-kb & mouse work normally during installation and boot process. When logging-in screen is displayed, these devices just simply stop working and no interaction is possible. Normal PS-2 kb & mouse are working properly when hot-plugged to the system. S510 kb & mouse are working fully with 10.1. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227677 ------- Comment #5 from kylmakorpi@kolumbus.fi 2006-12-13 14:29 MST ------- I tried that w/o success, as well as booting before I sent this bug report. Since that I had to dig some logs from the PC, and the machine was up with Ubuntu-Live. When today booting to Suse 10.2 RC1 USB system was working. Please don't ask why... When today after booting tried to get WLAN working I found out module rt2500 was missing -> tried to compile the module -> couldn't do that ('uname -r' gave quite a curious reply {2.6.18.2-34-default}) -> recompiled the kernel -> booted the machine -> now uname says, as should, 2.6.18.2-23-default and it seems that everything is working. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
