[Bug 224492] New: Multisync fails to load plugin: libirmc_bluetooth.so:- undefined symbol: short_name
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=224492 Summary: Multisync fails to load plugin: libirmc_bluetooth.so:- undefined symbol: short_name Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: richardn10@googlemail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Am trying to synch Evolution calendar & address book with mobile phone via bluetooth using multisync (NOT multisynk). In YaST/Hardware/Bluetooth, paired with phone OK, and can use kbluetoothd to browse and transfer files back and forth to phone. Started multisync in debub mode as follows as a non-root user: # export MULTISYNC_DEBUG=1 # multisync Get the following, which includes the error that cannot load libirmc_bluetooth.so (which IS installed) at the bottom: Trying /usr/lib/multisync/libirmc_sync.so... Plugin found: IrMC Mobile Device Trying /usr/lib/multisync/libevolution2_sync.so... plugin_API_version short_name long_name plugin_init Plugin found: Ximan Evolution 2 Trying /usr/lib/multisync/libsyncml_plugin.so... Failed to load plugin: libirmc_bluetooth.so (Error=/usr/lib/multisync/libirmc_bluetooth.so: undefined symbol: short_name) The library dependencies seem OK: # ldd libirmc_bluetooth.so linux-gate.so.1 => (0xffffe000) libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0xb7f87000) libopenobex.so.1 => /usr/lib/libopenobex.so.1 (0xb7f80000) libbluetooth.so.1 => /usr/lib/libbluetooth.so.1 (0xb7f70000) libglib-2.0.so.0 => /opt/gnome/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 (0xb7eea000) libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0xb7dc9000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x80000000) Of course, I cannot synchronise either. When I add a sync pair in multisync, I get the following debug output (when I restart multisync): Found pair: evolution2-sync - irmc-sync always_connected [evo2-sync] DEBUG: start: sync_connect [evo2-sync] INFORMATION: Loading state from file /home/richard/.multisync/2/localsettings [evo2-sync] WARNING: File /home/richard/.multisync/2/localsettings does not exist [evo2-sync] DEBUG: end: sync_connect Got message 7 Syncthread: Exiting. sync_disconnect [evo2-sync] INFORMATION: start: disconnect -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Maybe you want to look at OpenSync (http://www.opensync.org) which is the successor of the old multisync. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
