I have had incidents of libzypp using libcurl instead of aria2c for downloading packages as well. This is accompanied by the following line in zypper.log :- 2009-03-11 06:52:39 <2> Arbuthnot(12329) [zypp] MediaAccess.cc(open):145 aria2c not found.
