[Bug 226629] New: Automounting is inconsistent when multiple users are logged in
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=226629 Summary: Automounting is inconsistent when multiple users are logged in Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: RC 5 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Hotplug AssignedTo: ihno@novell.com ReportedBy: jfunk@funktronics.ca QAContact: qa@suse.de On one of my machines, there are always two KDE sessions simultaneously running as different users. When plugging in a usb_storage MP3 player, a seemingly random user gets ownership of it, instead of the user whose session is active. All sessions get popups, of course. If I unplug it and plug it back in the proper user *might* get ownership. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

You can only disable the automounting in one user session. This limitation will go away when we switch to ConsoleKit, which will not allow inactive sessions to issue mount requests. Most of the code is written, but it needs to be packaged, integrated and tested. We hope to get that for openSUSE 10.3. I did a quick search and could not find how to disable automount in one session. Could you point me in the right direction? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
