[Bug 930566] New: mongodb should listen to IPv6, defaults of course to localhost
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=930566 Bug ID: 930566 Summary: mongodb should listen to IPv6, defaults of course to localhost Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Development Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: tschaefer@t-online.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- The database server from mongodb uses per default only ipv4. A distribution like opensuse with full support of ipv6 should configure the default to listen IPv6, at least with an strong hint inside the config-file: instead of: # Bind the daemon to localhost only, comment out to allow remote connections. bind_ip = 127.0.0.1 should be: # Bind the daemon to localhost only, comment out to allow remote connections. bind_ip = 127.0.0.1,::1 ipv6 = true In Version 3 the format has changed: net.ipv6 but the wrong default is the same. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
