Following MD compatible RAD devices were detected: BOOT If they are clean devices or contain partitions then you can choose to use MD Partitionable RAID sysbsystem to handle them. The fix for Bug 615656 was committed on July 1st to the internal repository, which, I think, did not make it to the GM.
Can you try to blacklist/remove dm-raid module and install? Try switching to console 2 during install and make sure that dm-raid45.ko cannot be loaded Say by removing it from /lib/modules/
I had the same problem and the workaround worked for me too. However, I'd like to give a few more details for the novice. When you come to the screen where you choose your language and keyboard at the beginning of the installation, that is a perfect point in time to do this. Press Ctrl+Alt+F2 to switch to a console. then type cd modules ls -l dm-raid* (verify the file is there) rm dm-raid45.ko press Ctrl+Alt+F7 to return to your graphical installation screen, confirm your launguage/keyboard selection and proceed as normal. When prompted with “You are running on a Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager compatible platform. Following MD compatible RAD devices were detected: BOOT If they are clean devices or contain partitions then you can choose to use MD Partitionable RAID sysbsystem to handle them. In case of clean device you will be able to install system on it and boot from such RAID. Do you want MD Partitionable RAID subsystem to manage those partitions?” Choose “YES” and proceed as normal with your installation.
