postfix is not enabled on the system, so it won't be started automatically (unless another package has a hard dependency on it, like mysql IIRC).

mysql is running and started on this system. I configured postfix through yast. At some point you have to configure the daemon (connection type = Permanent). Also the runlevels screen was showing the postfix daemon as enabled...

you should run insserv postfix (or systemctl enable postfix.service)

... So is this something you have to do with systemd specially for postfix. Because all the other services are starting just fine.
