It's a particularly problematic issue in that often I forget to reset my scrollback buffer to be bigger between reboots and I loose important information from standard out in Konsole. If you go to 'edit profile' using these default settings, the changes will be lost as soon as you close the window. It can be circumvented by creating a new profile. Changes in a profile will be saved. In my opinion it's not a real bug but you can't expect users to guess the solution without being fed up. When you open profile manager you see there are profiles, in my case there was my profile "xaos" and the other one without name, and you can't delete empty one. When you set default profile to yours it remember this setting until logout. And it also ignores setting show "menu bar", i my profile it's always turned of but when konsole starts it shows up, and when you want to turn it off, it turns out it is already to turned off according to menu but obviously it's mistaken. I think it's distro specific bug, because on my kubuntu(32-bit) kde 4.1.1 snapshoot it works well.
