Sure, it doesn't make sense to make those columns sortable, but we have no way to make that call -- hmmm actually, I guess we could toggle the sort switch as the table is filled with data... If keepSorting is passed, then both disable sorting. However, if it is not passed, then the Qt UI will: 1. let user click column to sort 2. sort first column by default The Gtk UI: 1. let user click column to sort (same) 2. don't sort any column by default The reason why the Gtk UI won't sort the first column by default: 1. GTK brain damage: once a column is sorted, there isn't a trivial way to transit back to the initial unsorted state. And while the keepSorting flag is passed at the YCP level when instancing a widget, libyui will only notify us afterwards -- besides they reserve the right to change the sort status at any time (not sure this is exposed to YCP though). It's nothing of another world to get this working however -- probably could be done in the time it takes to write this post. 2. if you consider the case at hand, and this problem is in no way limited to this one tool, be baffled when you change some row's priority property on the Qt UI. And consider you come warned unlike the inattentive user.
