I have dual processor board with nforce chipset and build int network interface, both using same forcedeth driver . I am running 11.1 with xen kernel and this machine host several virtual server. Both network interface are bridget and provided for virtual machines.

I am a bit confused what you mean here. Did you start with Xen installed on this machine or did you install it with kernel-default then install the Xen kernel? - Does the network card work OK under kernel-default? What version of kernel-default? - What was the previous version of Xen Kernel that worked? - Can you test with other network cards?
Interesting is that both cards are same (nforce chipset).
- Can you please attach the output from hwinfo. Or better yet install supportutils and run supportconfig as root and attach the tarball.
Reverting back to cd fixh the issue and booting with default kernel also fix the issue.
What is cd?
After update second interface stop receiving any communnication.
Can it still send? How are you testing this? Is the second interface in the routing table properly? Can you ping its IP? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

--- Comment #4 from Thidney Thidney
I am a bit confused what you mean here. Did you start with Xen installed on this machine or did you install it with kernel-default then install the Xen kernel?
Oh, sorry. I reread my post and it contain several confusing sentences. I start with Xen kernel. And update to via yast online upadte to latest kernel-xen
- Does the network card work OK under kernel-default? What version of kernel-default?
Yes. Under kernel-default it work well. Version of kernel-default was same as kernel-xen so it was: 2.6.27.45
- What was the previous version of Xen Kernel that worked?
I was able to test only kernel-xen from cd. I look it up for you kernel-xen-2.6.27.7-9.1
- Can you test with other network cards?
Yes. This was workaround I had to went with. I add another network card (realtek chipset). It work correctly
Interesting is that both cards are same (nforce chipset).
- Can you please attach the output from hwinfo. Or better yet install supportutils and run supportconfig as root and attach the tarball.
Yes I can do that. But it will take same time (1 week), because this machine is currently not accessible.
Reverting back to cd fixh the issue and booting with default kernel also fix the issue.
What is cd?
Sorry, I was too fast. Revert kernel-xen to version from installation cd fix the issue.
After update second interface stop receiving any communnication.
Can it still send? How are you testing this? Is the second interface in the routing table properly? Can you ping its IP?
I connect another computer to both network card and check with tcpdump. No I cant ping its IP. No communication (in or out) went trough second network card). I will leave needinfo, till I provide requested tar ball. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
