Can you give me the exakt versions (rpm -q) of the installed packages libxine1 libxine1-codecs libavcodec52 and kaffeine? Kaffeine 0.8.8 and 1.0pre3 we have on Packman use libxine directly but 1.0pre2 uses phonon, so it's one more step. Can you reproduce the Problem with another xine frontend (one of the packman kaffeine package, gxine or xine-ui?) Your listet packages seem to be up to date. I've rebuild latest ffmpeg svn snapshot 23008 also for i586: ftp://packman.links2linux.de/pub/packman/suse/testing/xine-cvs/ffmpeg-i586 can you check, if it fixes the problem?
