https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=335465 Summary: Ktorrent crashes when shutting down from KDE Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: jarl@softace.dk QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer When I have KTorrent running as an applet in Kicker while shutting down the comuputer, a KDE crash handler window is shown stating that Ktorrent crashed. Even worse; because of this dialog, it waits for action (typically a click on "OK"), and therefore never shuts down the computer... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I would guess this happens only with a certain plugin being enabled, can you maybe try with which one? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

You are right, it's the UPnP plugin. Can you reproduce it? Will you report it to the KTorrent developers? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Both problems (RSS and UPnP) seem to be solved in the latest Packman packages: ktorrent-2.2.2-0.pm.3 ktorrent-feature-dht-2.2.2-0.pm.3
I was a bit too fast, there is still problems with the RSS plugin, but as explained earlier, it seems to only crash when RSS is enabbled when KTorrent is started, i.e. it requires you to shutdown and restart, and then shutdown again to reproduce. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

We do not support packman packages.
The bug report and comment 1 through 6 are regarding SuSE official packages, eg. ktorrent-2.2.1-32
Can you reproduce the problem with supported packages?
I can *only* reproduce the UPnP problem with the SuSE packages, not with packman packages. Jarl -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
