I've tried various sound output modes, but I can't seem to be able to find out which playback mode is faulty. is there some application I can use to debug to figure out which playback mode is broken? I can bring the hardware if wanted. It includes the cutting-edge version of ALSA drivers. There have been a few fixes after 2.6.24. for this devices. http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/multimedia:/audio/ The hardware supports only 16bit signed little endian format. So, I'm not sure whether it's a format thing.
