However, the ar9170 driver, which has firmware in the kernel-firmware package has been superspeeded by the carl9170 module. But in order to make that module any useful, we need to include the firmware. What should we do about? This is a real regression for openSUSE 12.1. This used to work before with the old driver (which has been dropped from the kernel) but which still has it's firmware in the kernel-firmware package. I think we should just include it, as other distros like Ubuntu, are shipping it as well. It is intended to be used with the carl9170 driver." Problem is a not working network connection out-of-the-box - not very good, nearly all following installation stuff depends on this. So also a special extra RPM on the ISO automatically installed by YAST at installation time would solve this problem.
