Hmm. Where did you get this kernel from? AFAICS the last released 11.4 kernel is 2.6.37.6-0.5 I can build a kernel based on the the current git snapshot, which is .37 based as well. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

ndiswrapper-kmp-desktop-1.56_k2.6.37.1_1.2-11.3.i586 requires ksym(desktop:__pci_register_driver) = 1a76f173, but this requirement cannot be provided
k2.6.37.1_1.2-11.3? Are you sure you are using the correct KMP? This one looks to be .37 based... (In reply to comment #14)
Installed new kernel now: Linux 2.6.38.6-27-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT 2011-05-12 23:34:00 +0200 i686 athlon
Is this the kernel I have provided? It doesn't look so because the time stamp doesn't match. [...] Bug report: [ 890.604831] BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at fffffff3 [ 890.604853] IP: [<c03724ba>] vma_stop+0xa/0x30 This is not possible, because the patch adds the following check if (!IS_ERR(vma)) vma_stop(priv, vma); So we cannot get to the function with fffffff3. Please double check your setup. I will add kernel-source package and x86_64 builds as well as it seem that other people are affected as well. Just for record. I have built those packages against 11.4 but this should be OK as the kernel has the same config in Tumbleweed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

EDX is fffffff3 which is -12UL which is -ENOMEM.
Bahh, fffffff3 is -13U obviously... So this is -EACCES. Sorry for confusion. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I expect the problem is not fixed. But may be it's a different error?
Yes, it definitely is a different problem. Please open a new bug.
The system has no swap. May be this case is not proper managed. But this is just a guess!
No, this doesn't look like a swap related issue. kswap kernel thread makes sure that the memory is freed when it is needed. In this particular case it tries to free inode cache which turns out to be ext4 inodes. I haven't looked more deeply but it definitely deserves a separate report. Thanks [...]
