The yast2 installation programm offers me different suggested partition configurations depending on the installation source used. The harddisk conains the following partition configuration. start output fdisk -l========== Disk /dev/sda: 120.0 GB, 120034123776 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 14593 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Disk identifier: 0x3e57b972 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 1 10443 83883366 7 HPFS/NTFS /dev/sda2 * 10444 14593 33334875 5 Extended /dev/sda5 10444 10705 2104483+ 82 Linux swap / Solaris /dev/sda6 10706 13934 25936911 83 Linux /dev/sda7 13935 14593 5293386 83 Linux end output fdisk -l========== If I use the DVD as installation source the programm offers me: +Format partition /dev/sda6 for /home with ext4 +Format partition /dev/sda7 for / with ext4 +Use /dev/sda5 as swap +Set mount point of /dev/sda1 to /windows/C If I use /dev/sda7 ext3 partition with DVD repository for installation source the programm offers me: +Delete Windows partition /dev/sda1 (80.00GB). Resize impossible due inconsistent fs. Try checking fs under Windows +Create root partition /dev/sda1 (20.00GB) with ext4 +Create partition /dev/sda3 (60GB) for /home with ext4 +Use /dev/sda5 as swap The report on the inconsistent fs for windows seems to be wrong, since a fs check shows no erros. With the DVD as installation source the same fs seems to be OK. Please check screenshots at attachment for details. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use DVD as installation source 2. Use a ext3 partition containing the OpenSUSE 11.2 repository as installation source 3.
