Or we might somehow use the zypp cache... Michael, Duncan - zypp caches the content files in /var/lib/zypp/cache/Source.*/DATA directory, I thought that zypp would use files from the cache instead of asking for the CD. Is the cache accessible via libzypp? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=213031 ma@novell.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEEDINFO |ASSIGNED Info Provider|ma@novell.com | ------- Comment #7 from ma@novell.com 2006-10-19 05:44 MST ------- No zypp does not cache the content files in /var/lib/zypp/cache/Source.*/DATA. Layout of data below /var/lib/zypp/cache/Source.* is completely up to the source implementation. It might be there is a file named content, it might be it looks like the content file on cd, it might be it is not present next week or contains different data. You must not assume anything about the internal layout of a Source cache. inst_extrasources.ycp requests the content file so we acess the media and provide the content file. Don't know why you need your own content file parser. If you say what you need, there might be soe way to accomplish it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=213031 ------- Comment #8 from dmacvicar@novell.com 2006-10-19 08:15 MST ------- any additional information should be included in the Product object, and accesed by yast via the bindings, as zypp already parsed the content file.
