If you want to 'reboot', 'shutdown' or 'poweroff' your machine, please do not use 'halt', but the other commands. I've replaced "/sbin/halt" in /usr/share/kde4/config/kdm/kdmrc with "/sbin/poweroff" but no effect. The screenshot suggests that the kernel successfully entered the kernel's halt, it should do the same with 'reboot' then. You might try to remove: quiet and add: systemd.log_level=debug systemd.log_target=kmsg to the kernel commandline in the bootloader. I might reveal some more information. Upon rebooting the system shuts down normally.
