[Bug 218179] New: crap error message on session restore of media:/ URLs where device no longer present
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=218179 Summary: crap error message on session restore of media:/ URLs where device no longer present Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: wstephenson@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de If I've had a USB key inserted during the last session, then the Konqueror window for the media:/sdb1 URL is restored on next login. If the removable media is not present, I get the error message "Could not start process Unable to create io-slave: klauncher said: Unknown protocol ''." How we make this friendlier? Either "The device at media:/hdb1 is no longer attached", or, worse solution, the "An error occurred while loading media:/blah: The file or folder media:/blah does not exist." message we get when entering a spurious device. Why do we get different messages on restore, and during a session, anyway? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
