[Bug 958306] New: spice-gtk: spice_audio_get_playback_volume_info_async() segfault
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=958306 Bug ID: 958306 Summary: spice-gtk: spice_audio_get_playback_volume_info_async() segfault Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Virtualization:Tools Assignee: virt-bugs@suse.de Reporter: mgalbraith@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 658683 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=658683&action=edit upstream patch Greetings, After upgrading 13.2 -> leap, my virt-manager crashes when I start a VM with display set to spice. A little google turned up... https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1257210 ..and rummaging around in the git repo turned up the attached patch, which I verified fixes the crash. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

--- Comment #2 from Mike Galbraith
Is it always reproduceable? I can't reproduce it in my box.
Yup, it was 100% repeatable - as soon as a VM came up and fired up KDE desktop, BoOM, virt-manager crashed. I rebuilt spice-gtk with the attached patch from the upstream git repository to make that go away. To get audio actually working in a VM with leap as host, I now have to start the things as a normal user, whereas openSUSE-13.2 worked fine as root. Hohum. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Well you don't need to reproduce it, just create maintenance request for leap with patch attached patch. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
