During the last weeks I encounter casual problems opening text files in any KDE editor, kwrite, kate or krusader built-in editor, for instance. Opening a text of a size around 50 kBytes takes several minutes. During this time, the editor "eats" almost 100% of CPU resources. I tried to make a trace in gdb of such a session, see additional information. Reproducible: Sometimes Opening the following text file (54.2 kBytes) in kwrite took about 2 minutes and eat most of the CPU resources meanwhile:
