[Bug 907215] New: after 13.1 -> 13.2 upgrade, wickedd fails to exec existing if-{up,down}.d/* scripts
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=907215 Bug ID: 907215 Summary: after 13.1 -> 13.2 upgrade, wickedd fails to exec existing if-{up,down}.d/* scripts Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: grantksupport@operamail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- ref'd from: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2014-11/msg00197.html in /etc/sysconfig/network i've an if-up.d script if-up.d/99-ethX-setup on openSUSE 13.1, prior to an upgrade to 13.2, on network start the script -- regardless of content -- always execd as expected. after the 13.2 upgrade, with 'wicked managing network, the script no longer execs on boot. after boot, once @ shell, if I manual exec of sh -x /etc/sysconfig/network/if-up.d/99-ethX-setup works without issue. in journalctl -xb I don't see any evidence of the scripts's exec on boot. This message from 'mge@suse' in a prior @factory thread http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2013-12/msg00084.html suggests that wicked should manage/accept the script; iiuc, wicked's supposed to be (?) drop-in, "... wicked will read and use the existing configuration files from /etc/sysconfig/network and configure your network accordingly. ..." -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
