https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=780656 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=780656#c0 Summary: after upgrade Broadcom wifi no longer reliable Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1 In OS 12.1 my broadcom wifi worked well, i.e. after each start of computer I had wifi. I upgraded to OS 12.2, I installed the drivers again, and: 1. first start wifi -- ok 2. second start -- ok 3. third start -- no wifi, only wired connection listed 4. 4th start -- no wifi 5. I reinstalled wifi drivers 6. 5th start -- wifi ok By "no wifi" I mean it looks like when there are no drivers for wifi installed, or there is no wifi card. NOT that I don't see any AP! You can say, it is fault of broadcom drivers. The catch is -- the drivers (source) is exactly the same as before. Reproducible: Always -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
