For unknown reasons no blank or cached page is displayed, but rather "Problem loading page". The address line shows "http://www.%u.com/" I added Firefox to start up programs to save myself a few keystrokes, this effect is nullified by the bug, instead of starting Firefox, I now have to enter a new address, as reloading only repeats the error message. It also appears to happen only from the startup option. Obviously this stems from a file .local/share/gnome-main-menu/applications.xbel
it is xml and contains one entry per added program to start on login, firefox
looks as follows:

But it belongs there AFAIK. You are using Gnome then? Also as I was checking this out, the rules have cahnged again, now adding applications to autostart, adds a launcher to .config/autostart. The launcher also contains "firefox %u" as command.
