[Bug 547325] New: KDE Display in System Settings asks to apply changed settings though no setting has changed
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=547325 Summary: KDE Display in System Settings asks to apply changed settings though no setting has changed Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: RC 1 Platform: i586 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: ripper@freakmail.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 5.1; U; de) Presto/2.2.15 Version/10.00 I installed 11.2 RC1 in a VirtualBox VM. If I go to the KDE System Settings->Display, the "Apply" button is not grayed out even though I just entered the dialogue and did not change any settings. If I want to go to "Power Control" (or any other section), I'll be asked to apply or discard my changes (Still: no changes made). If I hit "Discard", go to "Power Control", then back to "Size&Orientation" the same thing starts again. If I hit "Accept", then it'll work as long as I'm staying inside the Display module. If you go back to the Overview and then to the display module again, the same behaviour starts all over. Also note that the first time I opened the Display dialogue, I couldn't even get it to accept the "changes", this worked from the second time on. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the KDE System Settings (Configure Desktop) via KDE Menu 2. Go to "Display" 3. Switch from "Size&Orientation" to "Power Control" (or any other section) 4. You'll be asked to accept the changes or discard them. 5a. Discard -> Go back to "Size&Orientation" and start from 3. 5b. Accept -> Go back to th Overview of KDE SystemSettings and start from 2. Actual Results: Need to accept or discard non-changed settings Expected Results: If settings aren't changed, there's no need to accept/discard anything -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
