[Bug 254352] New: KNetworkManager: specifiying a port for openvpn connection does not work
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=254352
Summary: KNetworkManager: specifiying a port for openvpn
connection does not work
Product: openSUSE 10.2
Version: Final
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Maintenance
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com
ReportedBy: uli.2001@gmx.de
QAContact: qa@suse.de
With KNetworkManager, I try to setup an OpenVPN connection.
I configured the gateway using the graphical interface as:
134.76.83.196:5007
However, the connection does not work.
The resulting output in /var/log/messages is, where it says "UDPv4 link remote:
134.76.83.196:1194" instead of "...:5007", so I suspect that the port
information which I gave is not used.

Solution is available in NetworkManager SVN. However OpenVPN supports setting the remote port as part of the remote address. It does not use a colon but a space for separation. So try to enter "134.76.83.196 5007" in the gateway field. Perhaps NetworkManager will accept it. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

I will fix it for KNetworkManager. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
