If I insert the CDROM/DVD it shoudl accellerate and be shown in the notifier applet. It does not appear in the messages log when I insert the CDROM/DVD. Normally it would send a lot of messages about something detected, trying to mount etc... but nothing happens. Remember this is not isolated to the installation. It is simply a question of Linux not detecting my CDROM/DVD drive. Therefore hwinfo --cdrom > hwinfo.txt returns nothing Hardware specs MUST be included in my attachment?
