https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=693134 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=693134#c0 Summary: Big latency on volume control with Pulse Audio Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@novell.com ReportedBy: aaatoja@o2.pl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 Sound card: Sound Blaster Audigy SE (EMU10K1 (FX8010)) 0 [Audigy ]: Audigy - Audigy 1 [Unknown] Audigy 1 [Unknown] (rev.3, serial:0x5a1102) at 0xdc00, irq 18 Some time ago I updated the system and after this action, strange things happen with volume control. When I hit VOL+/- on keyboard simply nothing happens then suddenly after ~30 seconds volume is increased. Also it is hard to control apps volume. Amarok (hmm, how to say it) is desynced with global volume. Other things that has changed was big buum in speakers when starting KDE. Today I had to restore whole system from backup (11.04.2011) with old Pulseaudio and everything was ok. After upgrading pulseaudio packages (and nothing else) to 0.9.22-6.11.1 from OSS problems returned. A few days ago I found topic on regional suse forum of another user with exactly same audiocard - he completely lost sound after upgrading. With pulseaudio removed and pure alsa everything is just fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Update pulse audio packages 2. Observe volume control -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
