[Bug 445802] New: calendar: update dialog flood ...
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=445802 Summary: calendar: update dialog flood ... Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Evolution AssignedTo: bnc-team-evolution@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mmeeks@novell.com QAContact: lakhil@novell.com Found By: --- When I have a groupwise appointment open in the appointment editor, every few minutes I get the world's least helpful (modal) dialog saying something like: "this appointment has changed, do you want to re-load it [Yes] [No]" or some such rubbish :-) it is clear that the appointment hasn't changed, but it likes to plague me with this sort of dialog [ also when I try to edit it it says "Changes may be discarded if an update arrives" ]. This makes for a terrible UI experience; but more terrible is the fact that I end up with (after an hour or so) 20+ of these dialogs - all on top of each other; worse - as you close one, there is another underneath - which gives the feeling that you failed to close it: whereas really, you just need to try (a lot) harder. Since they are modal - of course, none of the other components are usable while this is there. So: can we please simply kill these silly dialogs ? or at least ensure we have only one, and it is not model [ just transient for the parent ]. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
