A simple change to the s2ram_opts got it working on my machine that was listed as unknown. Output from s2ram -n ; .. Machine unknown This machine can be identified by: sys_vendor = "Dell Inc. A simple addition of S2RAM_OPTS="-f -p -m" in /etc/pm/config.d/config allows my machine to suspend to ram. I use a ATI Radeon x600 video card.
