[Bug 660686] New: Chromium 10 dependency missing - /usr/lib64/chromium/libffmpegsumo.so
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=660686 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=660686#c0 Summary: Chromium 10 dependency missing - /usr/lib64/chromium/libffmpegsumo.so Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Milestone 5 of 6 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: znmeb@borasky-research.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/10.0.612.1 Safari/534.15 I installed openSUSE 11.4 Milestone 5. Then I went to the "Get software" and installed Chromium 10 using the one-click installer http://software.opensuse.org/ymp/openSUSE:Factory:Contrib/standard/chromium.ymp?base=openSUSE%3AFactory&query=chromium Once I had it installed, I went to the Preferences section to set up my synchronization. This is a standard Chrome / Chromium feature - all of my Chrome and Chromium instances share data tied to my GMail account. As soon as I attempted to do the sync in Chromium, it crashed. I restarted it from the command line like this: znmeb@AlgoCompSynth:~> chromium --enable-plugins --enable-extensions --enable-user-scripts --enable-printing --enable-sync --auto-ssl-client-auth --enable-extension-timeline-api It came up fine, and I could browse, but when I tried to sync the settings, it crashed with these messages: [7148:7148:638929567:ERROR:base/native_library_linux.cc(32)] dlopen failed when trying to open /usr/lib64/chromium/libffmpegsumo.so: /usr/lib64/chromium/libffmpegsumo.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory [7311:7311:655197422:ERROR:base/native_library_linux.cc(32)] dlopen failed when trying to open /usr/lib64/chromium/libffmpegsumo.so: /usr/lib64/chromium/libffmpegsumo.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Chrome (the version from Google's repositories with some non-open-source extensions) works just fine, even the "google-chrome-unstable" version. So it looks like there's simply a missing dependency in the Chromium RPM in http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Factory:/Contrib/standar... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install openSUSE 11.4 Milestone 5 2. Go to the search panel and install Chromium 10 from the one-click installer 3. Start up chromium from the command line 4. Try to synchronize settings in the Preference dialog. Actual Results: Chromium crashed Expected Results: I expected it to sync with my GMail account. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
