If you do: rpm -q --changelog kernel-2.6.22.17-0.1 |less is this entry included?:
Yes, the patch is included.
dmesg |grep "Look up EC in DSDT" If you get a hit, it could be this one then.
and here I also get a hit... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Can you still remember roughly when the last updated kernel still worked?
the problem started with the kernel 2.6.22.16-0.2, I think this kernel was the second kernel update for 10.3, but I'm now sure anymore. I won't be installing opensuse 11 until the final version, but I could eventually test this on a live-cd. btw. some posterior updates also broke the multimedia keys (mute & volume) but this has IMO more to do with xorg or kde than with the kernel. let's hope the new version fixes this. thank for the effort. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
