What hardware does this happen on, or is it a virtual machine?
Hi, This is the hardware: http://bugzillafiles.novell.org/attachment.cgi?id=582083
Does ntpd leave any messages in the syslog?
No, just the following line, when restarting: systemd[1]: Stopping LSB: Network time protocol daemon (ntpd)... ntpd[27150]: ntpd exiting on signal 15 ntp[27239]: Shutting down network time protocol daemon (NTPD)..done systemd[1]: Starting LSB: Network time protocol daemon (ntpd)... ntpd[27273]: ntpd 4.2.6p5@1.2349-o Wed Oct 23 08:21:35 UTC 2013 (1) ntpd[27274]: proto: precision = 0.102 usec ntpd[27274]: ntp_io: estimated max descriptors: 1024, initial socket boundary: 16 ntpd[27274]: Listen and drop on 0 v4wildcard 0.0.0.0 UDP 123 ntpd[27274]: Listen and drop on 1 v6wildcard :: UDP 123 ntpd[27274]: Listen normally on 2 lo 127.0.0.1 UDP 123 ntpd[27274]: Listen normally on 3 eth0 192.168.1.10 UDP 123 ntpd[27274]: Listen normally on 4 tap0 192.168.6.10 UDP 123 ntpd[27274]: Listen normally on 5 tap1 192.168.4.10 UDP 123 ntpd[27274]: peers refreshed ntpd[27274]: Listening on routing socket on fd #22 for interface updates systemd[1]: Started LSB: Network time protocol daemon (ntpd). ntp[27253]: Starting network time protocol daemon (NTPD)..done
Could you please try the ntp package from the network:time project in the openSUSE Build Service and let me know if it works better?
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/network:/time/openSUSE_13.1/
I've installed the package, I'll check the clock in 2-3 days. Peter -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
