I wonder why. Anyway I suggest to reconfigure X11 with sax2 -r to use the new installed nvidia driver. My previous update was involving the drivers required for the NV11. After closer observation, it appears that the concern here involves the unknown 016a display device. This would be the Geforce 7100 GS (NV44).
