Since the upgrade, I noticed that syslog is full of ACPI messages like the following: Dec 12 19:27:06 starfire kernel: [ 1631.165083] ACPI: EC: input buffer is not empty, aborting transaction Dec 12 19:27:35 starfire kernel: [ 1659.886142] ACPI: EC: input buffer is not empty, aborting transaction Dec 12 19:27:39 starfire kernel: [ 1663.949167] ACPI: EC: input buffer is not empty, aborting transaction Dec 12 19:27:43 starfire kernel: [ 1668.009033] ACPI: EC: input buffer is not empty, aborting transaction Dec 12 19:28:07 starfire kernel: [ 1692.457267] ACPI: EC: input buffer is not empty, aborting transaction Dec 12 19:28:20 starfire kernel: [ 1704.640015] ACPI: EC: input buffer is not empty, aborting transaction Dec 12 19:28:24 starfire kernel: [ 1708.702259] ACPI: EC: input buffer is not empty, aborting transaction Dec 12 19:28:40 starfire kernel: [ 1725.024126] ACPI: EC: missing confirmations, switch off interrupt mode. I've attached output from dmesg, /var/log/messages, lsmod, and lspci.
