Carlos, might be a "problem" on your end, I just got a message undeliverable for one email send to you:
: host tnetmx.telefonica.net[213.4.149.227] said: 550 5.1.0 sender rejected (SPF Hard Fail) (in reply to MAIL FROM command)
This is an SPF reject - the mailserver you sent via is "mx2.suse.de" = 195.135.220.15. This address is not included in the SPF record for "suse.com" (same for "novell.com"): "v=spf1 ip4:137.65.0.0/16 ip4:151.155.28.0/17 ip4:149.44.0.0/16 ip4:147.2.0.0/16 ip4:164.99.0.0/16 ip4:130.57.0.0/16 ip4:192.31.114.0/24 ip4:195.135.221.0/24 -all" Therefore Telefonica is rightly rejecting the bugzilla mails. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Carlos, please go to "Preferences -> Email Preferences" and check whether you have ticks everywhere.
There you have the photo. You can see that it is correct. Compare with the one published by Dominique Leuenberger, at http://paste.opensuse.org/78664195, I have more ticks than him. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

AT LAST! So, it is SUSE's fault. Any ETA on correcting this? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Carlos, Per: Regarding comment 6: That was a reject of my own mail - I copied you on an email I send to the openSUSE admin team and got the reject on this. The email has nothing to do with bugzilla, bugzilla will not deliver via mx2.suse.de.
You're right. The bugzilla mails come from: monroe.provo.novell.com = 137.65.250.171 (maybe others too). The problem is almost certainly that they are forwarded to Telefonica by the opensuse.org mail-server. That will cause the SPF check to fail. My own bugzilla address is forwarded through ieee.org, and also fails the SPF check. The change is possibly that Telefonica decided to implement SPF checks. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

But I do not know what happens with @opensuse.org emails. Let me try sending you another email and tell me the path it takes..

Argh. Another boo from my ISP. I can ask whoever does it to change the email for my opensuse.org alias to a different address at gmail instead. That would solve the issue for me, for some time at least, but the issue can happen again for anybody using opensuse.org addresses :-/ Then if gmail also decides to be strict on SPF checks, it is adios to all opensuse, org aliases - unless openSUSE decides to supply a real email server for us, with SMTP and pop/imap servers. By the way, somehow related: I got an email from ieee.org, which also has an email alias system similar to opensuse.org, that they are migrating to GoogleApps@IEEE. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Per, is there any easy way for me to retrieve the SPF record to double check the change once it's done?
Yep, that is easy: host -t txt suse.com It will be cached - with dig you can also see the time-to-live: dig suse.com txt -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The change is possibly that Telefonica decided to implement SPF checks.
Apparently not. I googled for "spf hardfail telefonica" and found entries from 2012/1 at least. http://comunidad.movistar.es/t5/Ayuda-T%C3%A9cnica-de-Movistar-Banda/Mi-serv... (30-01-2012) So it is not Telefonica that changed, or at least not recently. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
