[Bug 206780] New: gfx card not recognised during YaST Installation
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=206780 Summary: gfx card not recognised during YaST Installation Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Alpha 4 Platform: i386 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: djais@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com At the early installation YaST came up with the message that there is not enough free memory to start graphical mode. The card is a riva tnt2 - nvidia chipset. During the installation YaST came up with "no graficcard" . I tried to configure it manually but there was no possibility of it. I therefore installed the system without any gfx drivers. From runlevel 3 I copied over the complete driver directory from 10.1 (usr/X11R6/.... ) It was still not running. I deinstalled the x-server packages, installed them again and than run sax2. Now everything is fine. It seems to be very slow because the new KDE consumes much of memory for all the gfx. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
