[Bug 962895] New: Random trackpad touches switch virtual desktops. No setting available to stop this
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=962895 Bug ID: 962895 Summary: Random trackpad touches switch virtual desktops. No setting available to stop this Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: 2015* Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: nrsmith012@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Accidental touches of the trackpad frequently trigger desktop switching. This is extremely annoying, because I can't find any setting to change it (looked under input devices, desktop behaviour, shortcuts, etc.) It seems it's picking up touches at the edge of the trackpad surface that tend to do this more often, but I'm not even sure what is "supposed" to trigger this desktop switching My laptop is an HP 15-f272wm (4096mb sdram, Intel Pentium N3540) Should be an easy fix I think. Right-click on the desktop and choose "Desktop Settings", you can configure this in "Mouse Actions" there. By default, using the mouse wheel on the desktop is set to switch the desktop. If you remove that action (or set the mouse wheel to do something else) this shouldn't happen any more. Can you confirm? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Right-click on the desktop and choose "Desktop Settings", you can configure this in "Mouse Actions" there.
PS: you can also reach the "Desktop Settings" by (left) clicking on the toolbox icon (formerly known as "cashew") in the top-left corner of the screen. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
